Save The Great South Bay and the Pattersquash Creek Civic Association will team up April 11 for clean-up effort along the Pattersquash Creek.

Volunteers should meet up at 9 a.m. in St. Jude’s parking lot in Mastic Beach, where organizers will provide “grab ‘n go” gear packs. Waterproof boots and long sleeves are highly recommended for the clean-up effort that will go from 9 a.m. to noon.

The gear packs come with garbage bags, a picker, disposable gloves, safety vests and a map of the volunteer’s designated clean-up area. The two nonprofits encourage scouts, students, families, local organizations, company teams and all members of the community to pitch in.

Masks are required when social distancing isn’t possible.
