A much-anticipated coffee shop called Daily Grind Cafe will open on Main Street in Center Moriches early next month, according to one of the company’s partners.

Following up on a Facebook announcement that the store would be opening on Aug. 5 next to Gavin’s Treasures gift shop at 333 Main St., partner David Rose confirmed that is the target date, but said it depends on final inspection approvals.

“Everything is going to plan,” he said.

Rose also is the owner of Swell Yogurt Cafe in Manorville. He is partnering with fiancé’s father, Bryan Stone, in the Daily Grind Cafe, and said his fiancé, Bryanna Stone, 24, has been a huge help in getting Daily Grind Cafe off the ground.

“We have a little bit more to offer at this place, since we are about double the size,” Rose said of the 3,000-square-foot Daily Grind Cafe, which will offer a salad bar, juices, smoothies, self-self frozen yogurt, acai bowls, poke bowls, ice cream, hand-crafted doughnuts and, of course, a full espresso bar featuring Hamptons Coffee Co. products.

“We’ll have a tremendous amount of healthy options and a tremendous amount of sweet options,” Rose said.

Additionally, the shop will have a large game room in the back, with offerings such as a corn hole toss, checkers and chess, Rose said. “We’re hoping to do a lot of events for the town — more things for the kids and the family to do.”

Meanwhile, the company is seeking additional staffers — it’s hoping for a total of 12-15. Visit Swell, located at 460 County Road 111 in Manorville, to fill out an application.
