Dozens of kids scoured the backyard of the Mastic Beach Property Owners Association property for an Easter egg hunt Sunday afternoon.
The second annual event, arranged by Girl Scouts Senior Troop 2140, Rebel Next Youth Group and HOME Church, included 1,100 plastics eggs filled with chocolates, candies and tattoos and cross necklaces, were donated by the community members through two Easter supply drives, said Michelle Clements, who leads the troop.
“I think it’s really nice that they let us do it this year,” Clements, of Mastic Beach, said of HOME Church. “This is fun for the kids.”
